Major updates to Echinobase!

On July 13, Echinobase switched to a new server featuring a new S. purpuratus v5.0 genome, updated gene pages, orthology, and more! This older version of Echinobase will continue to be supported as a legacy website.

There may be issues with website links following the switch, and we will do our best to resolve them as quickly as possible. In the meantime we advise that if you're having difficulty accessing resources on the legacy site, some links may still be accessible if you add “legacy.” before “echinobase.org” in the URL.

  • Echinobase aims to provide a comparative genomics platform for the echinoderm clade.
  • Currently, genomes for Strongylocentrotus purpuratus, Lytechinus variegatus, Patiria miniata, Parastichopus parvamensis and Ophiothrix spiculata are posted here.
  • Transcriptomes for these and other echinoderms are also presented.
  • We continue to expand our information system as additional genome and transcriptome assemblies become available.
